| Bio: | ![]() Domains of Power: After his death and being given godhood as reward for his heroics, Herakles was a god over masculinity, athletics, and as a divine protector of mankind. Current State of Power: While a formal cult for him today is almost nonexistent, he is remembered as one of, if not the world's greatest heroes -- even if it is mostly under his Roman name, Hercules. D: Mortal Name & Age: Theodore "Teddy" Pullman, 25 Appearance: Muscled and broad, the first impression someone might get from Teddy is "BIG". It certainly fits; Olympus' youngest god stands at an easy 6' 10" and it isn't hard to tell that he loves the gym. His boyish and friendly face helps tone down the rough-n-tough appearance. His eyes are a soft hazel, and his hair a wavy dark brown. And overall, he very much prefers clothes that allow him to move about freely, and doesn't much care for fashion standards such as age or colors. If they fit, they fit. Past History: Herakles was the last god, reborn as such upon his murderous death. He happily enjoyed his new wife, Hebe, and began his family anew. At least, until it all started going to crap. He managed to escape the collapse of Olympus with the two children he had sired with Hebe, but they were already fading into nothing, and it wasn't long before he was alone. He went East to put aside his despair, settling in Japan. He put himself to the task of mastering any and all martial art forms he could discover, and found work through the years as a samurai. He remained there for several centuries until the word of a new country started somewhere called 'America' emerged. His curiosity piqued, Herakles took the quickest route and was instantly entranced by this New World and he went about exploring it. Legends of men like Paul Bunyan and John Henry, and the real lives of Davy Crockett and Buffalo Bill Cody. He reveled so in the age of the West, that he failed to notice the country falling into despair. When the Depression finally touched him, he found himself penniless and friendless in San Francisco. In desperation, he turned to his last option -- freak shows. Under the painfully ironic name of "Iron-Man Hercules", he toured the country with a variety of circuses and shows. The experience left him bitter and humiliated, and he escaped as soon as he found a way. In WWI, he became well-known for his seemingly inability to die in battle and sometimes even come out completely unscathed, and he was a hero among his ranks. But it didn't take long for rumors to begin that perhaps the reason he came out unharmed because he was a spy for the other side. He left before anything could be done about this, though, and disappeared back into the country. This method was repeated for every war since, right up to the current Iraq conflict. He returned stateside after three years of Marine service in 2004, and has spent his past 3 years in Miami as a junior police officer and volunteer fireman, living alone in a small house, and continuing to be the bane of any restaurant with a limited food supply. Personality: Teddy's persona is often at odds with his massive strengths; he's often very kind and considerate, and constantly goes out of his way for others. He enjoys relaxing as much as he does working, and will take any excuse to go out to the beach or bar. At times, he is a bit dense, especially when it comes to his relationships. And at heart, he is definitely a guy -- you will never, ever catch him shopping the strip or sipping martinis. When it comes to his temper, he has a fair amount of tolerance. It's a necessity given his strength and and hard-earned lesson. But when his temper finally blows, it's usually explosive and thankfully short, after which he usually holes himself up, depressed over his loss of control. Personal Likes and Dislikes: Likes include beer, baseball games, his old red truck, alligators, the gym, his job, his big stupid dog Bowser, wine, eating anything that can be fit into his mouth, swimming, the beach, women, men, brawls, Old Spice, sleeping, Western movies especially the John Waynes, the History Channel. Dislikes include reality TV, cats, anything with the word 'diet' in it, not being able to find clothes in his size, hurting other people on accident when they don't deserve it, flashy things, little cars with leather seats, criminals, aerobics, stuffed animals, crabs, Amazons, little things difficult to hold, monogamy. | |||||||||
